J.J. Abrams Revolution returns for a second season. Considered one of the success stories of the 2012-13 season, it is currently NBC’s top scripted drama in primetime.

Chicago Fire, with Jesse Spencer, is also renewed. NBC is also considering a potential spin-off looking at the Chicago police department.

Supernatural drama Grimm has proven a sturdy performer for NBC on Fridays nights averaging nearly 3.2 million in the all-important 18-49 demo and wins a new season.

Hart of Dixie is renewed by The CW and wins a third season. It is also performing well in 18-34, especially online.

The CW has also ordered its first new series for 2013-14, The Originals, a Vampire Diaries spin-off. It revolves around the Original family in New Orleans and features Charles Michael Davis, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Danielle Campbell, Leah Pipes and Australian Phoebe Tonkin (H20: Just Add Water, Home and Away, The Secret Circle, Tomorrow When the War Began).

  1. I love all four of these shows so this is fantastic news! Hopefully FOX8 will fast track season two of Chicago Fire to match the rest of the above. FOX8 is the network to watch!

  2. David, do you have any idea when we will here if Warehouse 13 is going to be renewed? It’s on the Scify channel in the US.
I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie McClintock and Aaron Ashmore at Oz Comic Con. Both lovely, very funny blokes.
Keeping my fingers crossed for them.

  3. Yay Hart of Dixie!! So happy for this news. Also The Originals sounds rather intriguing, especially since I love TVD. Revolution is one of my favourite new shows.
