Schnitzerling has been Brisbane Director of News since 2004 and worked at the network for 15 years.

“She is a formidable journalist and a highly respected news manager, with an enviable reputation in the business.

“Cathie will be greatly missed by her team in Brisbane and the whole TEN News operation around Australia. I wish her all the best for a continuing brilliant career.”

“Angela has done a great job as National News Editor and, as she proved in Melbourne for many years, is one of the best in the business,” said Flannery.

“We are committed to providing Queensland with the best possible News service, and Angela will ensure we continue to do that. She has a wealth of experience and talent, and will be leading an outstanding TEN Queensland News team.”

A successor for Ms Murphy will be announced in due course.

Pssst TEN, there was a bombing in Boston this morning. Everyone covered it except TEN. One cannot but feel if WWIII broke out or aliens landed TEN would still be running their cooking shows.

  2. Hey this set is better than the awful news set for Ten in Adelaide. It is very small shabby and been wedged in the middle of the news room floor.

  3. they need to down size the set a fare bit, and make it look modern and bright. also i hope that Angela Murphy can revitalise the news to make it different to all the others on 9,7 , and abc

  4. Yet another axing or forced axing at Ten. Not surprised at this. THey will never get any stubiulity and success if they continue with this revolvin door policy of theirs.
