Bullying claims back on Next Top Model

There are claims today that bullying has raised its head again on Australia's Next Top Model.

2013-05-03_0112There are claims today that bullying has raised its head again on Australia’s Next Top Model.

News Limited reports one person has been disqualified following a “serious” incident during filming at the home used to house the 16 contestants.

It also suggests a physical fight may have occurred and that producers and host stepped in.

“I don’t know why but I went into (the show) thinking ‘oh, there won’t be drama, everything will be fine’, but of course there is always drama,” a source said. “A lot of things have happened in the house and we were dealing with something that hasn’t happened before.

“It was really intense.”

Asked if the situation was violent, a Foxtel spokesman said: “No comment.”

Australia’s Next Top Model was tarnished by bullying incidents between 16 year old contestants back in 2008, but in recent years had moved away from similar outbursts, notably when Sarah Murdoch became host in 2010.

Now hosted by Jennifer Hawkins, the show produced by Shine will  air later this year.
