Mariah, Nicki Minaj quit American Idol (over to you Keith).
Keith Urban is now officially the last dude standing on the American Idol judging panel.

Like rats on a sinking ship, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have now quit American Idol, following in the wake of Randy Jackson.
This leaves good ‘ol Keith Urban as the last remaining judge before he will undoubtedly make for the exit door too.
“Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!!” Minaj said on her Twitter account.
Carey’s departure was also announced on Twitter by her public relations firm PMK BNC, which said the singer “says goodbye 2 idol” as she prepared to embark on a world tour. Bonus.
Earlier this week Urban said, “I have no official information of anything.
“I’m pretty much in the same boat as everybody else here with the rumors that have been floating around. I don’t know anything more about what’s happening next season. It was like this before I signed on…so it’s not unusual for the Idol folks to be in this place of figuring out what they want to do, then they always pull it together.”
It’s just that they are pulling without Keith….
The latest speculation is that Idol graduates such as Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken -none of whom actually won the show- may be asked to judge.
Lambert said, “Dude if they called me, I’d be like, ‘Yeah. Where do I sign?’ It would be very cool. It would be exciting.”
While it would be easy to suggest Urban made a boo-boo by quitting The Voice for Idol, I’m sure he is still in front financially, as well as having elevated his status in the US market, so it’s not a complete loss.
The Voice should really get him back to perform on the Grand Final. Hmm, write that one down.

Keith and Nicki for Aus Idol please.
The voice is missing another Aussie judge this year.
Loved Nicki
It should be noted that Keith Urban denies leaving The Voice for American Idol. According to him, he left it to work on an album, but joined American Idol because it fit in with his schedule, unlike The Voice.

This would be Gold. Nine has to do it. Keith really seemed to enjoy his time on The Voice. You could just see it. they need him back as judge. I like Ricky but he never had the enthusiasm that Keith had and we need another Aussie. Do it Nine, before Ten grabs him for Aust. Idol.
Alicia Keys for 2014.
Please American Idol! 🙁
I liked Nicki too.
gonna miss nicki! i found her refreshing
would love to see kelly clarkson as a host. none of those previous contents pleaaase!!!
The Idol format is old and tired anyway. Time to give it a rest for a while.
If any of those three (Hudson, Lambert, Aitken) are judges, I don’t be watching. Hudson has a great voice but no personality that I can tell or have seen. Lambert and Aitken… pass! They need current, relevant acts, none of those three are that.
I watched one or two episodes of this season before Mariah turned me off with her constant looking-into-the-camera-with-doe-eyes. That and the constant fighting with Nicki. $18M well spent?
Nicki Minaj was the best judge. Her comments were always relevant and she wasn’t affraid to tell the truth. Mariah would stumble a lot and speak a lot of nothing.
If Ten are really reviving Australian Idol, then I can imagine Keith would atop their list to judge.
Surprisingly I found Nicki to be the most entertaining of the bunch, and thought she actually gave decent advice and comments.
