Returning: Falling Skies

Season Three of Falling Skies will be fast-tracked to Foxtel next month with a double episode premiere.

Former Battlestar Galactica executive producer and Caprica co-creator David Eick replaces departing showrunner, Remi Aubuchon who left to write a sci-fi novel.

The season premiere will air about 48 hours after its US screening.

In the aftermath of a hostile alien takeover, the earth is in ruins and survivors are few. In the months following the attack, those who have avoided capture or death have banded together in the difficult task of fighting for the future of humanity. Falling Skies focuses on the resilience of the survivors and their determination to maintain their humanity when all else has been destroyed. Season three launches with a movie length, two-hour premiere as Tom and his group look to leave Charleston, while the appearance of a new kind of alien raises concerns around the groups hopes for future survival.
