Returning: twentysomething

ABC2 comedy twentysomething, featuring Jess Harris and Josh Schmidt is returning.

2013-05-15_2016ABC2 comedy twentysomething, featuring Jess Harris and Josh Schmidt is returning next month, joined again by Hamish Blake, Simon Russell and Leah de Niese.

Special webisodes will be available from Wednesday June 5.

With the reality of ‘thirtysomething’ looming, and Jess no longer able to pull off pigtails, it’s time for the best friends to quit their band-aid approach to life and finally ask “what are we destined to do?”

Season 2 of twentysomething sees Jess and Josh open up to new opportunities like studying, manual labour, fame, volunteer work and love. But their energetic approach and reckless lifestyle means chaos continues to follow. Broken limbs, broken hearts, robberies, insurance scams and at-home courtroom dramas create hilarious bumps in the road to self-discovery.

You can re-live the chaos of twentysomething – Series 1 with an encore screening on Thursdays at 10.55pm on ABC2, from May 16.

And in an online exclusive, you can see what the characters have been up to on their overseas adventure between season 1 and 2 with 6 x 2min webisodes filmed on location in Paris, Italy, the Netherlands and London.

These webisodes will be available from Wednesday June 5 at facebook.com/abc2 and facebook.com/twentysomething

They might be getting older, but they refuse to grow up.

A High Wire Films & Electric Living Production.

8:30pm Thursday June 27 on ABc2.

  1. You’ve gotta love the ABC. When they actually have a half-decent comedy like Twentysomething, they bury it on ABC2. The other comedies they’ve got lined up for ABC1 (Upper Middle Class Bogan, etc) are probably (I hope I’m proved wrong, but history is on my side) not going to be as funny as Twentysomething.

  2. Looking forward to this. Series 1 was so much fun. But why on earth would ABC2 rerun series 2 at the “nobody will ever find it” time of 10.55pm?

It’s not like they’ve got so many programs they can afford to throw things away. Surely it would make sense to re-screen series 1 in a proper timeslot and then follow it up with series 2?
