Seven wins network ratings, but Nine tops primary channel and demos.

Seven falls over the line thanks to its multichannels, and TEN and SBS improve.

Seven won the network share but Nine’s primary channel was on top.

That’s because Seven edged ahead in multichannels.

TEN almost came close to toppling the ABC. Even SBS had a better week.

Nine won 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven News (Sun: 1.42m, weeknights: 1.24m) was best for Seven then Packed to the Rafters (1.25m), A Place to Call Home (1.15m), Sunday Night (1.14m), Today Tonight (1.04m) and House Rules (Reveal: 1.04m).

60 Minutes topped the week with 1.7m viewers -its best numbers all year followed by Nine News (Sun: 1.58m, weeknights: 1.35m), The Voice (1.56m) The Block (Sun: 1.53m), The Big Bang Theory (1.17m), A Current Affair (1.11m) and Arrow (965,000).

Death in Paradise (932,000) led ABC1 followed by ABC News (weeknights: 931,000, Sat: 916,000), New Tricks (846,000), Australian Story (841,000), The Checkout (814,000) and Doctor Who (812,000).

The return of Offspring (872,000) was best for TEN then NCIS (764,000 / 723,000), The Biggest Loser (highest: 728,000), Elementary (697,000) and TEN News (679,000).

Eurovision Song Contest (581,000) was a great result for SBS ONE then Who Do You Think You Are? (444,000), The Little Paris Kitchen (314,000), Shane Delia’s Spice Journey (283,000) and Mythbusters (273,000).

Nine won Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday while Seven took Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. ABC bettered TEN on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Seven was victorious in Melbourne (by 0.1%), Adelaide and Perth, whilst Nine took out Sydney and Brisbane.

  1. Go! and Gem are full of repeats and failures from 9.

    Seven has done a much better deal of programming it’s secondary channels and not cannibalising their own audience.
