Sophie Monk first guest on Dirty Laundry Live

Currently in the trash mag spotlight, Sophie Monk will be able to spill on ABC2's new live to air show this week.

2013-05-13_1138Sophie Monk will be the first big name guest for new ABC2 series Dirty Laundry Live.

The show is planning to include a famous celeb who has been in the tabloids and trash mags each week. With talk of a romance with Sam Worthington she surely fits that bill.

Some managers were a bit reluctant to offer their talent for the first week of an unknown show, but the one-time Marilyn from Movie World is fronting up live on Thursday night.

Get ready to embrace the shame of our obsession with celebrity and fame on Dirty Laundry Live – a new comedy panel show hosted by comedian Lawrence Mooney, which premieres this Thursday May 16 at 9.30pm on ABC2.

Joining Lawrence on the panel this week is actor Brooke Satchwell, model and radio personality Sophie Monk, comedian Matt Okine and comedian and writer Zoe Coombs Marr.

Intrepid Hollywood reporter Luke McGregor will join in the fun via satellite*.

On Dirty Laundry Live Lawrence and his panel of celebrity guests will pull apart the major pop culture stories of the week in an unpredictable, irreverent and unscripted live-to-air show, where anything could happen.
Viewers will also be able to interact with the show by using the zeebox app to take part in quiz questions and polls, with results discussed live on the show.

Whether you’re a trashmag subscriber, a celebrity blog addict or just a doctor’s waiting room time-passer, join Lawrence and his guests each week as they chew up and spit out all the celebrity trash and glamour they can manage, every Thursday at 9.30pm on ABC2.

  1. I know it’s called “Dirty Laundry” for a reason, but I think they spent way too much time discussing that porn video. As far as I know it’s just a standard porno made by porn actors, it’s not a celeb sex tape, so discussion of it was kind of out of place, imho.

  2. I really wanted to like this, but it was rubbish. The live aspect added nothing, except dead air and the complete lack of any type of format left too much for Lawrence to fill.

I can imagine the pitch, but it had none of the chaos of Celebrity Juice and not enough of the laughs of a Buzzcocks etc.

    Lazy tv.
