Hugh Sheridan no longer contracted to TEN

Hugh Sheridan's network contract with TEN has lasted for 12 months.

husheridanHugh Sheridan no longer has a network deal with TEN.

Sheridan was yesterday announced as part of Shine Australia’s drama Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold INXS Story which will screen on Seven.

A TEN spokesperson confirmed to TV Tonight, “Hugh is no longer contracted to TEN.”

Sheridan was announced as joining TEN in May 2012 as a network coup, to host I Will Survive. He was also due to develop other projects with the network.

But the talent series was a flop and other appearances did not eventuate.

In January he was set to host the AACTA Awards for the network but pulled out due to a date conflict with a US opportunity.

Many expected him to be cast in Wonderland, TEN’s upcoming male-skewed drama. But roles went to Michael Dorman and Tim Ross.

Sheridan makes an appearance in the Packed to the Rafters finale on July 2.

  1. Hopefully he has sacked the management team he had in 2012 for allowing him to make such bad decisions. Why would an actor leave an acting job the #1 drama on tv for a hosting job on a channel ten reality show? and then drop out of hosting an awards show to audition for a part he wasn’t absolutely certain he’d get?
