  1. Sometimes the minor matches are more entertaining in the early rounds. Barring an upset, watching the top seeds not have to try too hard to beat a qualifier can be a bit boring.

No Jim Courier as per the Australian Open so that is a bonus in itself.

  2. Same coverage as the last two years which is great for Perth as in the past we have to wait ’till 11.30 to watch Wimbledon. Hoping it’s the last year we see it in SD.

  3. @catherine
You really want to watch Australia get thrashed in both events with England winning 5-0 and Australia not making it past the third round.

  4. I really dont mind sport not in HD. Yes idealy it would be great if it was in HD and yes it is great when it is, however as long as it is Live around the nation on either of the channels is better then delayed coverage, especially for such a big event like Wimbledon. HD coverage of sport will happen but only when the analogue signal gets shut off around the nation.

  5. Foxtel’s coverage is looking rather redundant now that Seven is able to use 72. Foxtel will be offering only minor matches and extended highlights during the day for pensioners.

  6. @jimbo k – no, great use of a digital channel would be to broadcast the tennis in HD instead of blokes fixing up trash or repeats of Family Guy.

I’ll be watching Le Tour in HD instead.
