Adam Hills Tonight: July 3

Guests tomorrow night on Adam Hills Tonight are Jimeoin, SBS legend Les Murray, Kate Ceberano and vocal group The Axis of Awesome.

Adam Hills is relieved that his show will actually air this week after being bumped to ABC2 last week (ok technically it did air). Last week’s ‘Princess Bride’ episode is also going to get a rerun after this season concludes.

This week Jimeoin tells Hillsy about his love of “joke jokes,” and how so few stand-up comedians use them anymore. He has plenty to re-tell including some at the expense of the Irish.

Les Murray talks about coming to Australia as a refugee from Hungary and look out for a classic archive photo of him as a lead singer for a covers band, who once played on the same bill as Sherbet.

Kate Ceberano talks about running the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and her obsession with Hillsy’s partner, singer Ali McGregor. She drops the F-bomb on several occasions but it may not make it into the final edit.

There’s also pre-recorded interview with Paul Hogan.

Ceberano and Axis of Awesome perform I Go to Rio at the end of the show, complete with Les Murray on whistle and maraccas.
