Rumour: ABC double dips with Chris Lilley

Chris Lilley is quietly working his new secret comedy project.
He has been tweeting hints recently, including photos about a trip to Nadi in Fiji, and making some pom-poms whilst editing (pictured).
If the trip involves South Pacific locations there’s a strong chance we may see the return of Jonah Takalua from Summer Heights High. In February TV Tonight speculated that Ja’mie could be making a return with suggestions of a private school female student who has the hots for a dumb Year 12 rugby player, is “cray” for footballers and has an African named Kwami staying at her house.
But there are whispers it’s only the first of two separate projects he has with the ABC, only one of which will air this year….
It’s a busy time for the folk at Princess Pictures with producer Laura Waters also behind Pete Helliar’s upcoming It’s A Date comedy set for ABC1 in August.

Ja’mie and Jonah would be most welcome back. As for other Angry boys…pass.
Hopefully Lilley produces something better than Angry Boys. The return of Jonah would be most welcomed.

@reubot – He always has new characters and just has 1 or 2 old characters from previous shows, which is good I reckon.

It would nice if he could use an all-new set of characters instead of dipping into past efforts.
