Foxtel Go joins Samsung Android, PC and Mac.

No longer confined to I0S, Foxtel's live and catch-up app joins extra devices, including Samsung Android.

fgoFoxtel’s user-friendly Go app is now available across additional devices including select Samsung Android tablets and smartphones as well as PC and Mac computers.

The Foxtel Go app allows subscribers to view up to 59 live channels and over 50 channels for on demand catch up viewing, as per their subscription packages. Until today it had been available via iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini.

Foxtel has also upped the number of devices that can be registered to Foxtel Go from two to three.

Jim Rudder, Foxtel Executive Director of Product said, “We’re really pleased with the response we’ve had since Foxtel Go launched late last year. Through our innovation, Foxtel continues to add value for our subscribers and the increase in the number and type of devices consumers can use to access it goes a long way towards delivering on our promise to help even more customers enjoy Foxtel in the home or on the move.”

Foxtel Play customers will also be able to receive Foxtel Go included with their subscription soon.

The Foxtel Go app is available for free from the Foxtel website, Samsung Apps or the App Store.

  1. @josh777 I heard awhile ago samsung exclusive. I was expecting it for all the high end devices as were most people. There is a faq on the website and one of the questions is what about the s4. Their answer is “Just like you, we only recently got our hands on the S4 phone. We are working as fast as we can to make Foxtel Go available on it but these things take time.”

  2. @ fromthedale – Foxtel Play, an IPTV pay by the month service (available via Foxtel Go and Internet TV apps), is planned to launch later this month.
@ andrewg76 – Foxtel signed an exclusive deal with Samsung for Foxtel Go to not be available to other Android devices until after November this year, in order to boost Samsung’s sales. However, when the news first broke it sounded like it would be all Samsung devices and not specific ones, which would imply it may be more so to do with Samsung than Foxtel. 3. Been waiting awhile for this and disappointed that it is only on the S3, Note II and Note 10.1 not even available for the S4…poor form from Foxtel as usual…
