Try not to look shocked…. but TEN has pulled the pin on plans to screen Shock of the Now.
Announced late last year for 2013, the factual show had Tom Ballard as host of “a smart, unpredictable live show that explains our connected world.”
But the show didn’t rate a mention at last week’s network Winter Party for remaining 2013 highlights.
Yesterday a TEN spokesperson told TV Tonight, “We have decided to not proceed, given it is no longer right for our target market of 25 to 54.”
Producers Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder declined to comment.

Love Tom, hope he finds a regular spot on TV in the future 🙂
Ouch. CJZ not having a good run.
Roxanne, the only way he can not be the least funny person on a show is if Josh Thomas is on it as well. I just fast forwarded through his 10 minutes or whatever it was.
Might be a smart move for 10, I found Tom Ballard to be the least funny person on This Week Live last night.
I’m not saying this was going to be as good but didn’t Ten also pass on Hamish & Andy, The Voice and a re-boot of Prisoner?
Hope Mr Ballard is a regular on “This Week Live”, he is always funny on “The Project”.
