I love Great Australian Bakeoff. I think if it had hit our screens a bit earlier, that it would’ve done a lot better.

I don’t think it will see a second season, which is a shame.

  2. David Knox July 31, 2013 at 9:17 pm -

TimmyC: I always believe in showing people how they can find the answer for themselves, rather than just giving the answer. If you check under News on most days you will see a Ratings story with this week’s figures for The Bible. If you click on the show’s Tag it will take you to recent stories where you can compare. Thanks.

  3. WolfieBoy July 31, 2013 at 8:40 pm -

I learned today where Garry’s Boathouse restaurant is located at Mooney Ponds, not far from where we stay at ALT tower apartments. Will definitely try that next year when we go again. The big problemwith the show for the contestants is time constraints. I feel they are too tight as they have to use different ovens etc. Not easy at all.

  4. The Moops July 31, 2013 at 5:28 pm -

MCA has completely bombed this season, it can’t bounce back with numbers like that. Ten must be devastated as it is the event program that is the backbone of the network. The show appears to have passed its use by date, perhaps it is time for the show to be put on hiatus after this series. I have not really enjoyed the format of the show this year, with the theme weeks and challenges and none of the contestants have that “breakout” quality in any way like Marion, Callum, Justine, Poh, Julie, etc. Agree that the Bake Off program on Nine is unforgivably dreadful.

  5. TimmyC July 31, 2013 at 5:27 pm -

How much did The Bible rate compared from week 1 to week 3, David?

  6. WolfieBoy July 31, 2013 at 4:05 pm -

Under the Dome is rating OK and is surviving.
Masterchef is sinking. Ten should have screamed at Shine producers by now but with a new Newscorp CEO and Lachlan Murdoch in charge of the board of directors, no one is game to tell that Newscorp company Shine – that they have ruined the show with all those silly team challenges. We are still watching but not happy!

That backing show on 9 is like a kindergarten version of Masterchef – honestly when are viewers going to wake up and support better quality shows. I turned off after 3 minutes when I saw what rubbish they were making. My 3 year old grandson could do better.

We are also recording XFactor and enjoying Mr. Foo LOL.

Recording Under the Dome – whole series and enjoying it.

  7. bettestreep2008 July 31, 2013 at 1:10 pm -

I actually tuned in to BB on GO! and must say I was pleasantly surprised.

The first 20 minutes of Twisting was a pain but once the contestants were introduced I was happy to see such a diverse group. Asian, Indigenous, African-American, gay, lesbian, war hero, someone over 40!…

Didn’t watch the second ep – but if Daniel gets booted off MCA tonight – I might switch over to BB for my nightly dose of spunk watching.

  8. wwenrl July 31, 2013 at 11:34 am -

Ok now, it looks like Big Brother is going to lose.
Is this bad for Big Brother David? Do you reckon this is going to be it’s last season? I hope not.

  9. bettestreep2008 July 31, 2013 at 11:05 am -

Although I am enjoying this season’s MCA, it pains me to say it but it should be the last.

It is being massacred by X Factor, Block, MKR, BB and even repeats of TBBT and New Tricks!

And worst of all it is being beaten by the inferior Bake Off rubbish too.

I am dreading to think what you will do with the return of SYTYCD. Please do not get that Sara Murdoch to host it.

  10. Jason July 31, 2013 at 10:12 am -

H&A beats BB (thanks to 9 in Adelaide & Perth). ABC News beats BB in Perth 2:1. XF beats BB in Perth 3:1.

  11. JennyW July 31, 2013 at 9:36 am -

And X Factor wins again yay! Under the Dome’s ratings are dropping nooooo!
