Leaders’ Debate: August 28

Another debate takes place on Wednesday, this time at the famously-named Rooty Hill RSL Club.

2013-08-09_1016Another Debate takes place on Wednesday, this time at the famously-named Rooty Hill RSL Club.

Wonder if that will prompt any pun-related insults to top “Does this guy ever shutup?”

So far it isn’t looking like any other debate that isn’t run by SKY News will eventuate. Bit surprised we are not due for another on Free to Air at the start of the final week….

Lack of interest perhaps?

  1. Why would you be surprised there isn’t ‘another on Free to Air at the start of the final week’?

This election we will have had three debates on free to air tv which is more than the one in the last campaign or the campaign before that.

Thankfully Rudd has changed his mind and will now turn up to Rooty Hill as he didn’t commit until his poor polling forced his hand.

Also good to see all the free to air networks showing this debate as some networks wanted to have their own debates exclusive on their channels.

Will be interesting to see if Rudd goes even more aggressive in this debate as he looks down the barrel of an election defeat and the end of his political career.

  2. For someone who wants to be PM and strut the world stage it’s odd that Tont Abbott is so reluctant to appear on a TV stage. Q&A’s still waiting.
I used to live at Rooty Hill, then I moved to Fairy Meadow. Where to next?

  3. According to Tony Jones on Q&A last night, the ABC has plenty of interest in hosting one.. KRudd is appearing on Q&A next week, it’s Abbott who is not interested..
