Thank you to the ABC for the News, SBS for the Iceman documentary and Seven for Castle. The weird thing is about Castle is it was supposed to start at a silly time but almost started at a more sensible one. I’m grateful for the EPG. That said I really enjoyed the experience of watching Castle. So again thank you.

  2. A. August 20, 2013 at 1:50 am -

After watching Ripper Street on both Ten and One I’ve decided a few things. Not only has both channels got crazy watermarks but also surprise pop-ups. I really like Ripper Street. But I just can’t take the level of disrespect shown to the programming.

So in future if I’m interested in watching a show and choose to watch it on either channel. I will first assess the level of disrespect shown to the first episode. If it is too much then I’ll either watch only the first episode or the first few episodes if something else doesn’t interest me. As soon as something comes up then I’m leaving.

Due to all the secondary channels having crazy pop-ups I doubt I’d wait for the repeats. Unless they change their ways. So I’ll decide if I might quit it forever or obtain the DVDs. And television thinks these things work to encourage viewers to watch them. How wrong can they be.

  3. WolfieBoy August 19, 2013 at 8:44 pm -

AGT and XFactor are miles apart in quality of production and talent presented. I dont know how anyone can even compare these programs in any way whatsoever. :-)
I can only think some viewers with metering set ups had tea and left the TV set on Nine to produce those results.

  4. BFGfromPerth August 19, 2013 at 12:30 pm -

AGT beats or nearly equals XFactor in Syd, Mel and Bris. Its only loyal Adelaide and Perth that give it a win. I don’t watch either but surprised how good AGT numbers are in the key markets.

  5. matthutchinson10 August 19, 2013 at 12:21 pm -

Great numbers for sunday football in Adelaide.

  6. WolfieBoy August 19, 2013 at 11:20 am -

    Good night for Seven.

I can’t believe that a total rubbish program like AGT on Nine beats M/C and Ripper Street. What are viewers with ratings boxes thinking? Do they want more of the concocted rubbish like AGT?

We watched the first 8 minutes of AGT and no action and we changed to a DVD until XFactor and M/C started. At 19:30 we watched M/C live and Ripper Street, then the rest of XFactor off recorder.

XFactor is better than ever this year, that is why the ratings are rising and well deserved. Simon Cowell has got the formula right this year. :-)

  7. sydpt6 August 19, 2013 at 10:01 am -

look how x factor dominated the demos… sheesus…

  8. Pertinax August 19, 2013 at 9:55 am -

Ripper Street and TOOL haven’t benefited from the silly game between Seven and NIne where they try to start their 8:30pm drama as close to 9:30pm as possible.

Next week Seven has no Sunday Night so Bones is back to 8:30pn and we will get to see the 3rd last episode of Fairly Legal after a two week hiatus.

  9. David Knox August 19, 2013 at 9:13 am -

Nine advises a coding error with a daytime replay of AGT has impacted prime time numbers and says adjusted figures will show 1.3m for Australia’s Got Talent.
