1B-01-BeatboxThis weekend GO! premieres a new animated kids series The Day My Butt Went Psycho,  based on the best-selling children’s novels by Australian author Andy Griffiths.

The Canadian-Australian co-production, from Studio Moshi (Australia) and Nelvana (Canada) in association with Scholastic Entertainment Inc. (USA), is aimed at  children aged 6 – 11 years.

It follows the adventures of 12-year-old Zack and his best buddy, his ‘newly separated butt’ called Deuce.

Zack, who lives with his Gran, is energetic and optimistic, dreaming of one day becoming the greatest butt fighter in the word.

Zack and Deuce also hang out with 12-year-old Eleanor, the cool daughter of the most famous butt fighter of all time. She is also a classically trained butt fighter who just loves to kick some butt.

In a world where humans and butts live cheek to cheek, Zack’s plan is to become the very best butt fighter in history. Together with Eleanor, Zack and Deuce’s daily lives are a rollercoaster comedy with every waking moment dedicated to having the ultimate best buddy fun – which includes sometimes battling the evil Great White Butt to thwart his plans of taking over the town.

Saturday, September 21, at 8.00am on GO!

  1. Took the words right out of my mouth J Bar! I always tell my kids “it’s bum not butt in Australia!” Would be a shame to lose that loose, irreverent Australian vernacular. Love these books & great to see them animated – but it’s Bum!

  2. Why did they have to change the word “Bum” to “Butt”, in the title? That’s a sell out. I’m sure it will have all the Aussie references removed too and use North American accents too. Say goodbye to all Australian culture.
