Is this the world’s most stupid news presenter?
Video: No iPad? Why not just hold a ream of copy paper, BBC-style?

What on earth was BBC News presenter Simon McCoy thinking by holding onto a ream of A4 copy paper when reading the news?
A BBC spokesperson said: “This morning as Simon McCoy was preparing to introduce this story, instead of picking up his tablet to hold as he went to air, he mistakenly picked up a ream of paper that was sitting next to it.
“In the rush of live news, he didn’t have an opportunity to swap the items, so simply went with it.”
Yeah right. Because my iPad feels as heavy as a ream of paper too. This will go down as one of the year’s clumsiest Live TV moments.
Meanwhile, you can read about how some of our local presenters deal with the challenges of anchoring news here.

Just tried to view the video and it came up with this message from Youtube: This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube’s policy against spam, scams and commercially deceptive content.
Not quite sure how the video fits into any of those categories.
I’m sure it’s deliberate. He has pulled a few stunts over the last year or so such as being asleep at his desk and being the only journalist to state the truth about the continuouys Royal baby coverage – “none of it news”
Stupid news presenter or stupid producers for letting it happen!?
I sure hope someone buys him a new lighter iPad next month when Apple releases them.
Be fascinating to hear how long he kept it for. But how did the director allow it?
Then again this could have been a stunt!
Maybe he lost a bet.
Some irony the article he is introducing relates to alcohol interventions…
This is hilarious.
