Has it really been 7 seasons already?

2013-09-27_0048Has it really been 7 seasons already? Yep, but there were two in 2010 and 2011…

ITV has renewed Law and Order: UK for an eighth series.

The drama, starring Bradley Walsh, Georgia Taylor, Paterson Joseph and Dominic Rowan first aired on ITV in 2009.

Highlights of the new series will include the death of a psychiatrist who specialises in violent juveniles and a hotel-room killing without a body.

Head of Drama Series, Jane Hudson said, “ITV is delighted to see the return of Law & Order: UK.

“It’s a much loved drama amongst our audience and they certainly won’t be disappointed by what’s in store for them this series.”

Filming will begin in London next month.

The series previously aired in Australia on TEN.

  1. None of the episodes have been written specifically for the UK version, maxxdude – check out the opening credits; they all say “based on the episode…”.

It’s certainly not as good as the original, but it’s still a good show, and the introduction of Peter Davison to the cast actually helped it a lot.

  2. It got better when they started writing episodes specifically for the UK version. The first season they took scripts from the US version & it felt a bit phony.

  3. The series also airs on TV1, with their website saying they will begin airing season 3 on November 18 – just enough time to air the entire season before being taken off the air.

  4. Hey
Law and Order: UK returns to Australian screens – this time screening on ONE. It airs Wednesday October 9th as part of a new Wednesday line-up of all new White Collar, all new Law and Order: UK and all new Sons of Anarchy.
