  1. Aurora September 10, 2013 at 2:11 pm -

Atrocious ratings for Power Games and n underpar start for The Bachelor although I will admit that 16-39 figure is alright.

  2. William September 9, 2013 at 8:09 pm -

    @WolfieBoy
I was watching F1 as well. Thing is I don’t get as to why F1 is shown on One and Ten for Euro rounds including Singapore and not be on One nationally

  3. WolfieBoy September 9, 2013 at 11:13 am -

My wife was looking forward to Bachelor and she was not disappointed. We watched it of a recorder as XFactor took priority.
We also watched F1 on ONE and Cycling on SBS(30) and enjoyed it.

Recorded Power Games to watch later.

I think the Bachelor was a bit less patronising than the US series and I feel it may rise in ratings. Looking forward to the scenic parts that are coming up in future episodes. My wife says the Bachelor is a hunk and an excellent pick. :-)

  4. tricks September 9, 2013 at 11:06 am -

    @Achro

#xfactor was probably trending worldwide because it’s currently airing in the UK.

  5. theblueskidoo September 9, 2013 at 10:55 am -

If it wasn’t for TV Tonight I wouldn’t have even known Power Games was on. I didn’t see any promos for it (admittedly I don’t watch much Channel 9), but last year I saw Howzat promos left, right and centre.

  6. Achro September 9, 2013 at 10:20 am -

The Bachelor was trending locally in Australia only – but The X Factor was trending at #2 worldwide.

The Bachelor was still trumped in social media.

  7. SAgr8 September 9, 2013 at 10:01 am -

In perspective of ch.10 and their general ratings, The Bachelor did quite well considering it was in the toughest timeslot of the week . . . I predict it will build. 7 News Melb winning the slot just shows the importance of a strong lead in! The ratings at 5.30pm will determine which news service wins at 6!

  8. Bogues September 9, 2013 at 10:00 am -

I too am surprised by The Bachelor Australia numbers. As a male, it’s not my cup of tea, but I thought a lot of the females (and their boyfriends) would watch it instead of XF/AGT.

Power Games will probably hit the magic million with timeshifted figures. We taped the second half in our house because of the late finish. Will probably watch it tonight.

  9. tricks September 9, 2013 at 9:50 am -

I guess this just further proves that Tweets don’t translate into ratings… The Bachelor was trending nationwide last night.

Also, re Power Games, it finished too late for me.. especially on a Sunday night. I’m guessing it’ll pick up with the time shifted results.

  10. Cynical September 9, 2013 at 9:49 am -

Seen one nine telemovie/miniseries seen ‘em all.

  11. David Knox September 9, 2013 at 9:44 am -

    Daniel: Definitely.

  12. danny September 9, 2013 at 9:44 am -

I truly am shocked by its abysmal numbers. In any way you view it, Power Games ratings is a mitigated disaster. I was expecting it to surpass the 1.8M mark and to be the number one program last night. How dead wrong I was but am elated that it flopped. I’m so sick of the late Kerry being a constantly praised and highly decorated hero.

  13. Daniel September 9, 2013 at 9:40 am -

@MM Seven News followed Richmond v Carlton match, hence large Melbourne figures.

The Bachelor was low in viewers, but I think we all expected that. I actually thought it wasn’t too bad on the whole.

I think the bigger surprise is how poorly Power Games rated. Drama is expensive to produce, so I bet Nine is bitterly disappointed with those figures.

  14. bettestreep2008 September 9, 2013 at 9:31 am -

    The Bachelor will commence in 32 minutes….in 17 minutes….. in 10 minutes……in 3 minutes……

The Bachelor will be on Friday at 9.30pm on Eleven. Starting next week.

    Huge disaster.

  15. MM September 9, 2013 at 9:27 am -

7 news did well in Melbourne, Power Games did not do well, reckon that people are over these kind of programmes rather like Underbelly.

  16. Jordan121 September 9, 2013 at 9:11 am -

Ouch @ The Bachelor Australia :/ I liked it!! lol
