Tully evicted from Big Brother

Updated: Tully admits, "There is no question I was in the wrong even just with the friendship I had with Drew."

2013-09-23_2309One of Big Brother‘s biggest characters this season, Tully, was evicted from the house last night.

So far Big Brother‘s strategy of “Voting to Save” has ensure those under the radar left the show ahead of those driving storylines but last night that came to a thumping end when Tully was evicted.

Only 17% of votes were cast to save her, lower than 34% for Tahan and a surprising 49% for ‘Sugar sisters’ Katie and Lucy.

The romance of Tully and Drew, which has confounded many viewers (especially given Tully told us she was lesbian upon entering the house) was ripped apart by the Reality TV verdict.

Kruger quizzed her on her behaviour but Tully dismissed her affections as anything serious.

“I call him my house husband. We have this wicked sense of humour and a secret nerdiness but nobody sees that because we talk a lot in bed at night… He put up with my constant whining, tears and tantrums. I think the world of him and he’ll make someone very happy one day,” she said.

She told Kruger she is close and affectionate with all her friends and freely uses the word, love.

“I said that to Tahan first week in the house. I’m a very affectionate person, a very touchy-feely person.”

But it may be difficult for this social media strategist to face the real world, with online discussion that she has been dumped by her girlfriend and a high amount of anti-Tully sentiment.

Meanwhile tonight two intruders enter the house and fan favourite Ben will meet his icons Bert and Patti Newton in an new area of the house, as part of a celebrity birthday surprise. This will be the second time Bert Newton has entered the Big Brother compound.

Next Monday one intruder is evicted but two more enter the house next week too.

All housemates are nominated for the next eviction, Wednesday October 2nd.

UPDATED: Tully tells News Corp her relationship with girlfriend Tahlia already had relationship issues:

“I would 100 per cent (understand if Tahlia didn’t want to reconcile). There is no question I was in the wrong even just with the friendship I had with Drew.

“I totally respect her decision and I will discuss it with her personally when the two of us find a minute to talk.

“If there are issues and cracks in a relationship it (going on Big Brother) is probably not a good time to test it.

  1. David i dont know if you will be able to tell me this but iv asked big brother twitter facebook page but i think there not answering me
do you know if tickets for the finale are on sale because it says tickets for 23rd of October but it says it an eviction show im so confused ??

  2. @ Cynical, I totally agree. Having known someone like Tully myself, it’s interesting to me how Tully and people like her consider themselves to be very giving people, when in fact they are the complete opposite. It was time for her to go, but without the drama that she brings it will be interesting to see what sort of a hole it leaves the show with.

  3. @Cynical- very accurate description of the situation imo. Hopefully Drew can enjoy the rest of his time in the house without having to apologise for everything all the time.

  4. To me the cheating was just a symptom of a bigger character issue. Tully is a profoundly selfish person, and her treatment of Drew was controlling and abusive. Unfortunately it seems her friends on the outside enable her, so I guess she’ll stay this way forever, and continue to blame everyone else.

  5. Well I predicted it – Moonface is going to make a guest appearance on BB this week.

And this isn’t a spoiler – Sonia mentioned a celebrity guest appearance and specifically used the term ‘Moonface’.

This is the birthday surprise for Ben and we’ll all get to see what Bert does for his multi-million pay package from Nine.

Sigh – I actually watched this crap because the other networks had bigger crap;- Brownlow and It’s a knockout.

Happily Blue Murder and Walking the Dead were on to relieve me from all this reality and sports crap.

Thank you Seven2 or was it Sevenmate?

  6. I think when Tully is told my family and friends what has been seen by the audience when it comes to her and Drew, she won’t be able to lie about her and Drew being just friends.

  7. Other than blatantly signposting the outcome during the long lead up to the eviction, it was a good ep. Sonya did her best hosting of both seasons i thought. I can only wonder what Gretel might have done with Tully on the stage. Sonya carefully quizzed her, whilst being mindful of the heightened state of the evicted. I still don’t understand Tully, but no doubt more drama ensues.

  8. Some may have thought the high vote for the sister was was surprising but if you check out the Big Brother Facebook and twitter streams you can get a decent idea of who will get the most votes and who will leave.

Whilst vote to save did keep Tully in for a lot longer than vote to evict would, there was only three up last night so votes couldn’t be scattered and many thought that Tahan had consistent support and so those who had issues with Tully voted to save the sisters. I saw many comments from people saying they don’t know who is who in the sisters, and that they’re boring but they’re voting them to get Tully out.

Anyway I like Tully although being together with Drew as ‘Drully’ wasn’t my favourite thing. I preferred Drew when he was having fun with Tim (Drim) and with his ex wife Jade (Drade).
