Dancing with the Stars reaches new levels in campness
Butter me up and serve me sideways, Dancing with the Stars inadvertently delivers one of the year's campest TV moments.

Well butter me up and serve me sideways, I didn’t think Eurovision was coming back until next year, but a performance in last night’s Dancing with the Stars was as camp as they come!
A special presentation by the show’s professional dancers had it all: sexy, futuristic costumes; pursed lips; stern faces; arms, arms and more arms; billowing fog and even a white ball prop.
This was a fabulous if unintended pastiche of something fusing Rollerball, Logans Run and a hair shampoo ad.
I swear I saw a move straight out of The Saturday Show before the movie poster pose at the end.
And this was from the professionals!
Can we have more of this pleeez?

I like it when all the professionals dance.
But I have finally worked out why Im enjoying this series. Its because there has been no arguing or bickering between the judges.
The addition of Kym and Adam has been great.
Next year there’ll be a spin-off called Dancing With The Sponsors.
So we have advertorials, infotainment. What’s this? Dancertisement?
Hopefully we see one for the genie bra, or sham-wow next week.
Tina Arena’s whole involvement this season is an advertorial for her new album. Nothing new here.
Maybe next week they can do a Fango Tango!
Yes, more please! I love seeing the pro dancers collectively do their thing.
As far as I could tell this campiness was a paid spot by ‘Carte Noir’ coffee.. They were running ‘fire and ice coffee’ ads in the ad breaks and Dan introduced the spot as ‘brought to you by Carte Noir’.. It certainly was camper than Christmas. That Carmello has quite a strut on him..
That coffee ad was pretty camp too, yep. I missed the opening intro, that explains a lot. Advertorials in DWTS?
