TV Tonight can reveal a finalist has quit Australia’s Got Talent.

The shock withdrawal means the act is forfeiting a chance for $250,000.

But their identity is being kept under wraps.  All will be revealed in Sunday night’s episode on Nine.

Filming yesterday in Sydney fell on Dawn French’s birthday, prompting Geri Haliwell and Timomatic to lead a rendition of “Happy Birthday” by cast, crew and audience.

After tonight’s episode there will be two more finals, a Grand Final and a Decider, filmed just hours before it airs.

  1. @Justsaying, I agree with you. I have been watching AGT for the last month and I must say it is superior to the version Seven used to do. My only complaint is Geri- she is not a great judge. Dawn (who is a delight), Timomatic and Kyle run circles around her. They do not need four judges. I hope next season they revert to three and dump Geri. I have not missed Brian McFadden one iota. Julia Morris is an excellent hostess, she was born to do this sort of schtick.

Well in regards to AGT not BB,I think ch 9 have done such a great job much better than ch 7 it has been bigger & better which has been clearly obvious really have enjoyed this better than xfactor this year, Julia is a great host love her personality she cracks me up-could not stand Grant Denyer as host on 7. Regards to contestants quitting it’s not a matter of them taking it seriously or not we don’t know exactly what they have to go through emotions etc being a viewer & a contestant is a very different ball game.

  3. Totally agree with ‘bettestreep2008’ about BB and Gretel. Been a fan of BB since beginning, am bitterly disappointed with it now.
    As for contestants quitting shows – how can they expect us, the viewers, to take these shows serious if the contestants cannot even be bothered anymore?

  5. And they are stretching Big Brother as well. How many more intruders are they gonna send in? And how many more fake evictions etc etc???

    Ten had the right mix for BB – until they sacked Gretel and brought those two twits Kyle and Jackie O in.

    Gretel was a million times better than Sonja.

  6. All the hype before 9 started AGT, how the show was bigger and better than before, who were they trying to kid, as with BB, both of these shows had their day before 9 started to revive them and both have ended up with the same format more or less.
