2013-10-12_0213LifeStyle channels have picked up new shows from BBC, including Bill’s Kitchen: Notting Hill featuring Australian celebrity chef Bill Granger, and other premiere food and lifestyle content: Paul Hollywood’s Bread, Jimmy’s Grow Your Own Christmas Dinner,  Rachel Allen’s Cake Diary and Fantasy Homes by the Sea.

“It’s fantastic to have this new exclusive programming from the BBC and Bill Granger back on the LifeStyle channel, with the added bonus of getting a glimpse into the heady life in London’s Notting Hill. It is the perfect fit for LifeStyle. We are also excited to have Paul Hollywood’s first solo show which showcases his unique talents,”said Hannah Barnes, Foxtel LifeStyle Group Head of Programming and Commissions.

In Bill’s Kitchen: Notting Hill, premiering on the LifeStyle channel, we follow Australian chef Bill Granger and his family, as they establish their first restaurant in London’s Notting Hill. Bill brings to London his laidback approach to cooking, which has won him a dedicated following for his cafés in Sydney and Tokyo and shows viewers that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated, as he whips up an array of delicious easy to cook food.

Also airing on the LifeStyle channel, Paul Hollywood’s Bread sees the Great British Bake Off judge and former artisan baker show viewers everything they need to know about making bread. Alongside the tips and tricks of the trade, Paul also shows how bread is much more than something to pick at before the food arrives – it can be a meal in itself.

In Jimmy’s Grow Your Own Christmas Dinner, Jimmy Doherty discovers where the food on our Christmas plate comes from and how it has evolved in the age of mass production. Having spent months growing and making his own traditional dinner from scratch, Jimmy gathers those who’ve helped him along the way for a feast with a not so helpful appearance from his best mate Jamie Oliver. Together they decide which one’s better; the dinner we used to eat back in history… or the familiar supermarket favourite from today.

Cake is about so much more than the traditional celebrations we all recognise, in Rachel Allen’s Cake Diary premiering on LifeStyle Food, chef Rachel Allen flicks through her diary where a range of events from a big family occasion to something as simple as a change in the weather, inspires a cake to compliment the moment.

In Fantasy Homes by the Sea Series 6 host Jenni Falconer travels the coasts of Britain and Europe to help ten families find their dream homes by the sea. While each episode showcases a ‘Millionaire Moment’, the best fantasy home money can buy, it also features ‘Fantasy Finds’, to prove that living by the sea can be more affordable than you might think.

‘Bill’s Kitchen: Notting Hill, offers unprecedented access to one of Australia’s most popular chefs, and we are delighted to offer this and other premiere content featuring world renowned talent exclusively to Foxtel viewers,’ said Annette Kollek, BBC Worldwide ANZ Sales Manager, Subscription Television.
