If we remove ABC4Kids programming outside the 6pm-midnight block, that removes 7 of the top 20. The Mole Sisters airs between 6-7. The Hive and Florrie’s Dragons both air between 5.30-6. This means there are 5 others.
In the main channel top 20 there is Hot Seat and Ten News that don’t air between 6-12. Can have MDM, Fridays toss up all sorts of diff things too. Do we exclude those as well?

  2. BellJay October 17, 2013 at 4:06 pm -

    jtshadow65 – Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’s consolidated ratings for week of 29 Sept – 5th October was 2.154 million.
Yes DVR’s and regional figures are included in that number for that week.

  3. jtshadow65 October 17, 2013 at 1:32 pm -

well marvel agents of shield seems to still doing well do DVR recordings/catchup on the network sites get added into the ratings aswell during the week

  4. bettestreep2008 October 17, 2013 at 1:09 pm -

Jason – my family used to have one of those old Nielsen meters installed on our TV.

I believe there were 10 settings – one for each family member and for any guest that came to the house.

Many times my mum would just put the tv on and plonk us kids in front of it. I can’t recall ever watching the shows and spent most of my time with my coloring books. But Nielsen would be recording that 3 kids under the age of 10 were watching Scooby Doo or Playschool or whatever.

And in the evenings we’d sometimes turn on all 10 settings when only 2 or 3 of us were watching. According to the system – 10 adults were watching The Cosby Show when in reality it was just 2 or 3.

Not sure if the new Oztam system has fixed these ‘problems’ – but I am fairly sure there are a lot of homes with the meters and the TV is used as a baby sitting device – or as a means to ward off potential…

  5. Jason October 17, 2013 at 12:27 pm -

@jezza the first original one – You are right. It’s meaningless. Just used as mummy’s favourite babysitter. Switch it on and dump little Jaswhine and Enema-Rae in front of it. May be on but also doesn’t mean anyone’s actually watching.

  6. DanR October 17, 2013 at 12:26 pm -

Agree Jezza, wish David was allowed to only report prime-time digital ratings so we knew what shows contributed to the overall ratings numbers.

  7. jezza the first original one October 17, 2013 at 10:08 am -

I would like to see all the abc2 kids shows removed from the digi chs ratings….I know it probably will not happen though…
