There have been some reports that it may outshine the full Moon -although some of those have been criticised.

Comet Of The Century will fill you in on everything you need to know.

Comets have fascinated and terrified humanity for thousands of years. But this year, a particularly massive chunk of ice and rock is hurtling our way, an object that will captivate billions and create the space show of the century.

Premiering Tuesday 26 November at 7.30pm AEDT on National Geographic Channel on Foxtel, Comet Of The Century is your chance for a front row seat to a once-in-a-lifetime event.

  1. For those of us in the southern hemisphere, TV may actually be our best chance for a “front row seat” for ISON (unless it does become visible in the daytime). The best “outside” viewing will be pre-dawn over the next few weeks but this is before it hits its peak. After it swings around the Sun later this month we may not get to see much of it down south 🙁
