Tractor Monkeys season final

Tractor Monkeys has its season final tomorrow night on ABC1 with guests Kate Langbroek, Ella Hooper, Matt Okine and Glenn Robbins, looking at the topic of Summer.

Last time it was a season final I couldn’t help but wonder if it was going to be the last ever episode, but ABC proved me wrong. Not sure about its 2014 outlook either.

Summer is the Aussiest time of year. Just about every iconic Aussie image is a sunny one. As a kid it’s about the endless days on school holidays and the crazy things you did and made to have fun. We look at Australia’s first ever summer music festival and learn about what it was like to go on a nudist holiday in the 70s. This episode is all about our memories of summer; the sunburnt ones, the surprising ones and the ones that say something about us all.

Leading the charge is Kate Langbroek as she talks about how summer was all about making your own fun. While Ella Hooper was making billycarts, Dave O’Neil was building a stadium for his ferrets. Matt Okine tells a great story about his Scottish ancestry and how it’s left a mark, and Monty reveals something on her summer bucket list that leaves the panel shocked. And just about every story Glenn Robbins tells involves his fascination for getting nude. You will never think of him in the same way ever again.
