Bumped: Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy. Update: Bones. Gone: Mighty Planes.

Heads up for a few changes in Seven programming-land.

2013-12-14_0044Heads up fans of Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy and Bones.

Scandal is moving nights from Thursdays to Mondays on Seven with the next episode scheduled for 10:30pm Monday December 23.

A new episode of Bones will now air at 8:30pm Thursday December 19. This appears to be a one-off, with repeats slated in coming weeks.

“The Spark In The Park”
The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a nationally ranked gymnast, whose remains were hit by lightning and scattered throughout a public park. Although evidence points to a fellow gymnast as the key suspect, Brennan and Booth discover the victim was leading a double life. Meanwhile, Booth gets upset when Brennan shows surprising empathy for the victim’s father, and Cam confronts the woman who stole her identity.

Grey’s Anatomy moves from 8:30pm to 9:30pm next Thursday and appears to be a permanent move.

Meanwhile Mighty Planes is also out at 7:30pm Wednesdays, now with two eps of Highway Patrol.

  1. Ah well, I do not understand why viewers still get upset about the ‘Free to Air’ programming chopping and changing all the time. I absolutely lost track, and watch my favorite shows when they become available from US.

  2. @Backflip

She actually had her first acting role in Heart of Dixie.

I’m sort of disappointed Seven are treating a brilliant show like Scandal (one of my favourites for 2013) like this. Its summer for gods sake. Maybe if they gave it a timeslot and stuck with it people might actually tune in and see what all the fuss is about. Personally i think its one of the shows of the year. They should have just kept it Mondays to begin with.

  3. Thanks David for your update.

I was surprised that Seven were screening Mighty Planes which i enjoy but I think it fits better on 7Mate.

Any news on whether it will surface on 7Mate ?

  4. Seven are just showing the last episode of this block of episodes and filling a hole on Thursday with it before people start going away for Christmas.

They have Downton Abbey and A Place To Call Home for Sundays in the first part of the rating season. Last year they ended up with surplus episodes of Bones which they ran on Thursday and it rated quite well.

Looks like they might do that again.

  5. It makes me so mad when they put on a new Ep of something, then the next week go back to repeats. Cant they just commit to the season and the timeslot???

  6. I wouldn’t have expected any better numbers for Greys and Scandal given they both disappeared for a week and then resurfaced in new time slots with little promotion. Bones will be up to date with the US, but it too has suffered from varying start times and on again off again treatment.

  7. That episode of Bones has 2012 London Olympic Gold Medallist McKayla Maroney guest starring. I believe is her first acting role. She became famous for the Not Impressed meme during the Olympics, and even had her photo taken with the US President while they both did the face.
