Always-volatile US drama Californication will end with its upcoming seventh season.
Set to air in April in the US, Season 7 was chosen as the final by producers and Showtime after Season 6 wrapped.
“With its unique blend of lyricism and excess, Californication has been one of our groundbreaking signature series,” said Showtime entertainment president David Nevins.
“We will always be indebted to (creator) Tom Kapinos for leading the creative charge on this memorable comedy, and to David Duchovny for making us root for an unapologetic hedonist like Hank Moody.”
Deadline reports Nevins would not drop clues about Hank Moody’s exit but assured that “Tom has carefully planned the final chapter of Hank’s journey and has brought it to a beautiful and satisfying conclusion for new and long-time fans alike.”
The final 12 episode season will include guest stars Michael Imperioli, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Heather Graham, Stephen Tobolowsky, Rob Lowe, Brandon T. Jackson, Oliver Cooper and Mercedes Masohn.
Season 6 is currently airing in Australia on ELEVEN.

I really like this show, I just enjoy the characters and what they’re up to. Maybe I’ll give the whole thing a rewatch.
Hopefully since they have given it plenty of notice it will have a proper ending. I look forward to how they end it all.
