Binge viewing world record attempt

Could you beat 86 hours and 37 minutes of non-stop viewing?

2014-01-09_0103How much binge viewing is too much binge viewing?

A bunch of blokes at the International CES in Las Vegas are attempting to break the Guinness Book World Record of binge TV watching.

The time to beat is 86 hours and 37 minutes, which was set in 2012 by two Californians who watched The Simpsons endlessly.

Overnight they were at 35 hours.

News Corp reports during this latest attempt, they will only be allowed five minutes away from the TVs for every hour that they watch to go to the toilet, check their phone or just look away from the screen.

You can even watch them watching via Live Stream here.

For complete irony they should just watch Big Brother cameras the whole time.

  1. Irony would be watching the live stream of themselves.

The standard deal is 5 min per hour to do whatever they wish but that these can be accumulated so you could have a nap every few hours.

If they’re going to go for nearly 4 days in diapers, they would need to change them a few times – they don’t have infinite capacity. If they were properly hardcore they’d not eat or drink and be on saline drips.

  2. The men should have just worn diapers before-hand which would have solved the toilet issue. In regards to phones surely they can go 87 hours without using a mobile. What happens though if they fall asleep? Is sleeping allowed?
