Nine takes latest week of summer

Sport continues to draw the biggest crowds over summer, helping to Nine to first place last week.

The Ashes fifth test dominated the week, snaring the top 3 places, with the best audience at a huge 1.76m viewers.

TEN’s Big Bash League pushed it into third place behind Seven. But this week the Australian Open will no doubt give Seven a big leg up.

Nine had clear wins in the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Nine won Tuesday – Saturday, while Seven won Sunday and Monday. The ABC bettered TEN on Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday -and Seven on Saturday. TEN also finished ahead of Seven on Saturday.

Nine ranked first in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane but Seven was victorious in Adelaide and Perth.
