Renewed: Days of our Lives

US soap Days of our Lives has been renewed through to 2016.

The long-running series, which was recently dumped by Nine after 40 years, will also celebrate its 50th year on television in November 2015.

Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment said, “Days Of Our Lives continues to be a fan favorite for the daytime audience and we are thrilled to keep it going through its 50th season.

“Days has shown year-to-year increases in key female demographics and remains both relevant and fresh creatively due to the hard work of the producers, writers, cast and crew who have worked tirelessly to make Days the ratings success it is today.

“We are thrilled to continue being a part of the NBC family and to have the support of our incredible network and studio executives who work tirelessly to allow us to continue telling our stories and share the Days legacy with our devoted family of fans,” said Ken Corday, executive producer.

Days of our Lives is currently delivering its best season in women 18-49 US viewers in three years and its biggest season in total viewers in four years.

  1. I’d rather have it on tv too, there are so many ads on crackle, and its the same ones over and over again, they can’t be fast forwarded.
    And we are still over a year behind the U.S anyway.

  2. Ofcourse you know this news just adds salt to the wounds of Days Aussie tv fans. I watch it occasionally on Crackle when I can, but I don’t enjoy watching tv shows on my computer, would rather watch it on my tv. I have a pvr that has wifi, havn’t utilised as not sure how to use it, and don’t know if I can get Crackel on it, anyway.
