Long-running kid’s troupe Hi-5 will return to free-to-air television, with their latest series Hi-5 House set to premiere on ELEVEN.
Cast members Stevie and Lauren will be joined by three new performers, Dayen, Ainsley and Mary, a new set and new format and puppets Chats and Jup Jup.
TEN Head of Children’s Television, Cherrie Bottger, said: “We are thrilled to bring back to free-to-air television a program so loved by children. Hi-5 House invites them to actively share in the excitement of exploring the world through movement, music and fun, bringing joy and laughter to every little person watching.”
Hi-5 House will also be available on tenplay Kids, a dedicated digital hub just for kids featuring on-demand video, extra content, and activity sheets that can be engaged with anytime, anywhere at tenplay.com.au/kids and via the tenplay app for iPhone and iPad.
9am weekdays on ELEVEN from Monday, February 24.

This could hopefully lead to the creation of a new separate digital channel for Ten which could be called “The Family Channel” and cater specifically for daytime/early evening family audiences (including younger children) with shows like Hi-5 House. I noticed that Eleven’s morning line-up is skewed towards children and families, so perhaps Ten should consider teaming up with Asiasons (Hi-5’s new producers), CBS/Nickelodeon etc to help get this new digital children’s/family channel started on Freeview in the (hopefully) not-too distant future.
Hey thats great news actually. My daughter will be very happy!
That show should look different as this show has been shifted from the nine network to Eleven. I remembered when this show started on the Nine Network in 1999 and was transferred to GO in 2010.
Stevie looks….. Different.
