After news emerged yesterday that NBC had cancelled The Michael J. Fox Show, there is an upside: he is returning to The Good Wife.
TVLine reports he has closed a deal with the CBS drama to reprise his role as Alicia’s legal nemesis Louis Canning for multiple, season-ending episodes.
News of his possible return surfaced last month at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
“We’re trying to make that work,” co-creator Robert King said at the time. “Because he finished filming [The Michael J. Fox Show], so it looks like we’re going to get a chance to get him back.”
The Good Wife is due to return to TEN soon.

Well they showed an ad for it and said its coming back after the olympics. I take that as being on the week after they finish.
Season 5 is the best season yet…
Wouldn’t it be great if they made a spin-off series based on Michael’s character from The Good Wife?
Soon…. when is that?? It was supposed to be October/September when it was in the epg but then they took it away. Hurry up ten and put it on.
Love him in the good wife. Please hurry up and bring it back 10
“Soon” – I think they said that about 5 months ago too.
Absolutely love him in TGW so this is fantastic news! If only TEN would hurry up and schedule it…
