Sam Worthington has been arrested in NYC after a scuffle between girlfriend Lara Bingle and a paparazzi.

Actor Sam Worthington has been arrested in New York for allegedly assaulting a photographer who allegedly kicked Lara Bingle in the leg.
Media report a scuffle broke out at 5.30pm at Cubbyhole bar in Greenwich Village.
Worthington, 37, has been charged with assault after punching the photographer, Sheng Li, in the face after the paparazzi kicked his girlfriend.
“Yes, Sam Worthington was arrested tonight and charged with assault. He was released on a desk ticket with return to appear in court on 26 Feb,” New York Police Department Lieutenant John Grimpel told news.com.au.
“The incident occurred on the street. A photographer was following his girlfriend, he wouldn’t let her pass and was blocking her path. Then for some reason he kicked her in the leg,” Lieutenant Grimpel said.
“Worthington reacted by punching him,” he told news.com.au, adding that the photographer has a laceration to the nose and Bingle, 26, has a bruise to her leg.
The photographer was also arrested and charged with assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
Worthington was pepper-sprayed and arrested in 2012 in a previous run-in with a photographer after he was denied entry to restaurant Atlanta.
