10 Comments:

  1. Seems like a lot of electricity could be saved on a saturday night if these behemoths of networks considered turning their signals off

It obvious not many are watching

  2. I think the negative comments re ten and the coverage of The Winter Olympics are very harsh. I have really enjoyed what I have seen. The Commentary has been great and a bit of fun with Roy and HG. Any way just my thoughts.

  3. There are 2 ways to show Olympics. Jump all over the place or pick just the most popular. Ten have showed whole competitions and ONE was in HD, which I appreciated very much.
To us this has been the best Olympic Coverage ever and 7 & 9 can learn a lesson from it.

Ten does have an uphill battle but they have the right attitude now. F1 race in Melbourne will have more coverage than ever. I just hope they simulcast it in HD on ONE – THat would make my day and most viewers that like F1 racing.

Damage Ten did 2+ years ago can only be slowly unwound but 7 & 9 know that Ten was a sleeping dog that is waking up now. 🙂

  4. Ha, Ten think they’ve been given a gold medal for their Olympics ratings but it is really a chocolate coin in gold foil. Channel One has had some good ratings at times but they’ve been average for the network over all but then, at Ten, ‘average’ is seen as ‘good’.

Ten doesn’t have the content to maintain it’s current comparatively lofty position. They still have a long hard slog ahead and they would do better if they listened to their potential audience more and didn’t delude themselves about their performance.

  5. From a ratings perspective, you’d have to admit that TEN’s coverage of the Winter Olympics hasn’t exactly set the set the world on fire.

I wonder just what kind of audience sponsors were promised as they signed-up?
