Good to see The Project become a media partner with beyondblue’s National Roadshow.
The show has always made a point of highlighting mental health issues, an issue that has certainly been widely discussed of late.
The beyondblue roadshow will travel in a big blue bus to 61 Medicare local regions and travel more than 22,000 kilometres, including community forums and free check-ups with mental health professionals.
The Project will also feature a number of stories and integrated content to support beyondblue’s “Take 1 Step” campaign.
beyondblue CEO Kate Carnell AO said: “We are very grateful for the support of The Project. This partnership will help ensure our messages reach a wide variety of Australians. We look forward to working closely with The Project as we make this journey across Australia.”
After spending three days in Canberra, the bus will travel to Sydney for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, before it heads to country South Australia.

Nice t shirt Todd wore last night reading R u ok?
The Project has always been very good at highlighting mental health issues as well as less well-connected causes. It deserves so much credit for this.
(Admittedly, in my house we play song bingo trying to guess which soppy or inspirational music tracks get played in the special reports.)
And there are some who want this program axed… they obviously have not bothered to see some of the good work that this program promotes.
Hooray for The Project.
This is why I hope it’s around for a long time to come.
What other show on prime time, commercial TV would present stories such as this ?
A good move.
I in 5 of us, remember…
