2014-03-22_1631Adam Zwar has another Agony series coming up, this time The Agony of Modern Manners which will replace The Moodys on Wednesday nights.

The first episode is “Manners of Work,” followed a week later by “Home Etiquette.”

In the follow up to Agony Uncles, Agony Aunts and The Agony of Life, Australia’s funniest and brightest discuss being caught in the crossfire of modern manners. Over the six episodes our team of experts including; Lawrence Mooney, John and Tom Elliott, Jess Harris, Steve Vizard, Ella Hooper, Dave O’Neil, Julia Zemiro and Tim Ross will show us how to behave, misbehave and what it feels like to be on the receiving end of both.

Whether it’s home, the office, in a relationship, online, travelling, at a wedding, a funeral or simply having dinner, our team of experts will chart the do’s and don’ts of human behaviour. What is etiquette? What is rudeness? What is right and wrong? With society becoming more complicated by the day, it’s time someone took us by the hand and guided us through the chaos.

Wednesday April 2 9:00pm ABC1.

  1. Manners of Work. I trust the ABC will caption Steve Vizard and describe him as a company director banned for 5 years for insider trading and very lucky not to be criminally charged. Yes really funny stuff!

This reply is truly offered in an atmosphere of a lighthearted chat in our free country, and I totally agree and accept your opinion of my comment being harsh, and to be honest I thought so that also, but I also did not name any particular person/s out of my respect towards you and your blog, and my comment was based on the tone of the last two paragraphs,” Australia’s funniest and brightest??” “show us how to behave” ” our team of experts will chart the do’s and don’ts of human behavior” “what is rudeness? ” ” what is right?” “what is wrong?” = lecture??

  3. I wonder if this series has a misleading title, and thought perhaps ‘The Agony of it All ‘ would be more apt., especially after casting my eye over some in this team of ‘ experts’, but at least the use of ‘experts’ is applicable to some, that is, as long as the most popular tradies definition of ‘ experts ‘ applies.
The tradies definition of experts is, ‘ what a drip turns into when under pressure ‘.

i also wonder if the first topic ‘ Manners of Work ‘ will cover from the boardrooms to studio green rooms, and if so, some on this team are definitely ‘ experts’ if previous performances in management and on the ABC’s QandA are any indication.

I will not be watching this series, simply because I refuse to be lectured by a couple of ‘expert drips’ .
