Fran Kelly to host Insiders as Barrie Cassidy takes long service leave
Exclusive: Insiders regular Fran Kelly will take time out from radio to host Insiders for ABC TV.

Respected political commentator and ABC Radio National host Fran Kelly will host Insiders for ABC TV while host Barrie Cassidy takes long service leave.
Kelly, who is a regular on the show, will take several months out from her breakfast radio show to step in as host, based in Melbourne.
Radio National is yet to announce who will consequently take on her radio role while she hosts Insiders.
Kelly  begins as host from Sunday April 27th.

Humour doesn’t always translate onto a page. Or actually be funny…
Just because the show is on one day a week, doesn’t mean Barrie only works that one day. There is a bunch of prep, meetings and a myriad of other things he has to do on other days of the week.
Good for Fran but a shame for me. I lover her Breakfast show.
Take time off a 5 day a week show to host a 1 day a week show. Where do I sign up?
Don’t think anyone is expected to run a radio show from Syd, fly to Melb and work weekends too. That would be 7 days plus travel.
