Resurrection tops ratings week

Ratings: Last week was another two-horse race between Seven and Nine, but TEN slipped further behind the ABC.

2014-03-30_2250The premiere of US drama Resurrection was the top  rating show last week, as Seven again won Total People.

The show pulled 1.94m viewers in another week that proved to be a two-horse race between Seven and Nine. But last week TEN was nowhere near the ABC as it languished in fourth place.

Next for Seven was My Kitchen Rules (highest audience: 1.72m), a Seven News special on MH370 (1.52m) and Sunday Night (1.3m).

The Block‘s best episode 1.79m actually outranked the best for MKR. Also performing for Nine were Nine News (Sunday: 1.45m), 60 Minutes (1.4m) and Love Child (1.13m).

Death in Paradise (1.05m) and Midsomer Murders (1.00m) topped ABC1’s week, then The Doctor Blake Mysteries (932,000).

TEN Eyewitness News (623,000) came in at #50 for TEN. The Living Room was next best at 536,000 and Puberty Blues (522,000).

The Queen’s Mother in Law (316,000), Indian Ocean with Simon Reeve (278,000) and Exploring China: A Culinary Adventure (275,000) were best for SBS ONE.

Nine won key demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven won Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Nine took Sunday and Thursday. ABC defeated TEN every night of the week.

Seven won Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth while Nine took Sydney and Brissy.

  1. Wasn’t sure about Resurrection at first but I really like it, it’s got a Lost feeling to it and having seen the next 2 eps the mystery deepens! I just hope we get answers within the first season which only has 8 eps.
