SBS gets a Brazilian ahead of World Cup

Ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, SBS hosted a media challenge in Sydney last night.

IMG_2165As part of the countdown to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, SBS last night hosted a “World Cup Agency Challenge” in Sydney last night.

The event at the All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre in Alexandria saw media agencies competing in an indoor football challenge, attended by around 250 people with teams.

David Zdrilic, Les Murray, Craig Foster and Lucy Zelic from SBS provided the entertainment along with some Brazilian dancers, football jugglers and prodigy U10 players performing tricks.

OMD agency, representing Italy, won the night.

The FIFA World Cup kicks off in mid June.

  1. OK I’m wondering is the FIFA World Cup the thing they keep campaigning against seemingly on all the shows I’ve been watching on SBS recently? I can’t even tell. I even watched the start of the Late News once and they did it. I guess whatever it is I’ll look out for similar computer graphics and know to completely avoid the show.

    Although I’m not looking forward to 3 more months of anti-whatever-it-is advertisements. I am trying to get used to the unsettling watermark but this doesn’t help. I’ve reached the conclusion that SBS2 and NITV are unwatchable. Not even for Mythbusters because I’ll just have to overcome slight stress headaches to watch them. So I’d need extreme motivation for that.

    Too bad because over summer I was tempted by the idea of watching films on NITV. But I knew I couldn’t watch for 2 hours or more straight just because of the location of the…
