Channel Nine Adelaide has sponsored more local community groups, the Central District Football Club and Norwood Football Club.
Nine will offer weekly commercials, activities for spectators at home games in Elizabeth and Coopers Stadium in Norwood, media training for select players and an end of season award.
Channel Nine Adelaide Managing Director, Sean O’Brien, said: “We love our footy, and after securing the naming rights to the amateur league we wanted to get involved with SANFL clubs that we felt aligned with our community values.
“Centrals and Norwood play an important role in the community and it is that connection we strive for with our viewers. I look forward to watching a Bulldogs versus Redlegs grand final this season.”
Central District Football Club Chief Executive Officer, Kris Grant, said: “The value of the sponsorship is a very high level, up there with our major partners, and it will assist in cementing the club’s financial stability.”
Norwood Football Club CEO, Geoff Baynes, said: “Our association with Nine and Nine News will promote our club and we look forward to working with them to engage with our junior supporters through their presence at our marquee home games.”

My two most disliked clubs in the SANFL. Yet another reason not to watch CH 9…
PAFC 1870.
The network will have a presence at The Parade and Elizabeth, but will not display signage during games that are televised on Channel 7.
This is quite humourous especially given 7 are broadcasting 1 SANFL game a week. One would assume there’s going to be some 9 marketing around these two team’s home grounds?
One team had recently tweeted a photo of a Seven OB van. Guess that will now stop.
