Saturday Night Live put a time lapse camera into its studio last week for an episode hosted by Anna Kendrick with musical guest Pharrell Williams.

This clip shows how Studio 8H was transformed across the production.

A nifty idea.

  1. @Dave, a small section of the audience is seated on the studio floor with the rest in the usual tiered seating behind. I don’t know why it is done like that perhaps as it looks better for the opening monologue by the guest host.

  2. Very small audience. I would’ve expected bigger.

    I saw a similar time lapse of the new tonight show set being built. A dedicated studio for one show. I don’t think that’s ever happened here
