BAFTA Awards 2014: winners

Broadchurch picks up 3 awards at the BAFTAs but beats out Top of the Lake.

2014-05-19_1110.jpgBroadchurch has won 3 awards at the BAFTA Awards held today in London.

The awards, which separate ceremonies for Film and Television, recognised Broadchurch for Best Drama, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor. It defeated Top of the Lake in the Drama category.

Other winners included The IT Crowd‘s Richard Ayoade and Katherine Parkinson, Ant and Dec, In the Flesh, Breaking Bad and David Attenborough.

  1. Gogglebox is a brilliant show. Would love to see something like that here but our networks are so scared to featuring anything that might include footage from other networks, whereas Gogglebox is on Channel 4 but has program footage from all the networks — and isn’t always the most complementary on Channel 4 programs either!

    SBS (or unfortunately Foxtel) would probably be the only ones who would dare to do a show like that here.
