Modern Family picks up the tab on NYC weddings

Ahead of the impending nuptials for Modern Family‘s Cam and Mitch, US network ABC announced it would cover the cost of all marriage licenses and wedding ceremonies to take place today at the New York City Clerk’s office.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet appeared on Good Morning America to announce the news and talk about their characters’ upcoming wedding.

Couples looking to get hitched were told to go to the City Clerk’s office from 8:30 to 3:45 and Modern Family would cover the cost of the license or wedding ceremony.

The wedding will play out on the last two episodes of the current season..
