pksHopefully this wasn’t some form of payback…

Last night Nine News Melbourne accidentally branded James Packer a “sex pest” when it ran vision of him attending a funeral with wife Erica Packer, as it was reporting on a separate, rather unfortunate, story.

And here he had been thinking that a news truck outside his apartment was the worst they could do.

Update: Apparently this mistake also aired on Nine News Adelaide on Monday:

  1. Maybe they really should arrange to have a paintball fight or water pistol fight from a distance after a week like this…

    Or something fun they like to do. Because oops is the right word.

  4. I’ve noticed 9 news melb on Friday and Saturdays always make multiple stuff ups. Much more than the other days of the week. At first it was funny, but now it’s getting annoying and unprofessional. If hitch wasn’t such a pro at hiding them there would probably be many more. That crew needs to be pull into line.

  7. A classic. Another punch-up due? Speaking of gaffes, TEN’s News claimed “..at the funeral of Peter Ramsay”. Actually it was Paul Ramsay’s funeral. Prime TV chief. Peter is Paul’s (living) brother.
