I would be very interested to know how Once Upon a Time in Punchbowl rated, and whether it will be repeated on SBS1 or 2. Good to see that Carlotta rated well.

  2. ryan June 20, 2014 at 4:10 pm -

Great result for Mc last night! And a great episode too.

  3. Mr_AJ June 20, 2014 at 4:08 pm -

Was quite a finale for Bones, unfortunately it didn’t make the top 20. It still seems that 7 can’t get much to work on Thursdays.

  4. WolfieBoy June 20, 2014 at 3:39 pm -

@Oceanographer – I agree it was a top game but we recorded it and watched it the next day of our high quality Recorder.

A lot with the ratings counts between 6pm and 10:30pm so figures can look strange but in the end a lot of viewers would have watched live and the rest recorded that match.

I felt that the Ausies did brilliant and had a small chance to win. Soccer was my original ball game as I was born overseas. The team played very well and with a lot of promise. Thanks SBS for covering World Cup Soccer in such a fantastic way.

We watch 30 is that even included in the ratings?

  5. oceanographer June 20, 2014 at 2:20 pm -

Ok figure for the Socceroos match. Should of been higher considering it was a must win game. I remember in 2006 the corresponding match got 1.5 million at a 2am time slot but Thursday’s match only got less than half that figure. I guess a lot people couldn’t be bothered this time round. Pity they missed an amazing game.

  6. JM June 20, 2014 at 2:05 pm -

What was on Channel 7 last night?
They got 25% of viewers, yet only the news and H&A are in the Top 20…..How does that happening?

  7. andrewb June 20, 2014 at 2:01 pm -

@Sacs – About 100,000 watched in Perth. As ratings day cut offs are 2am local time, the figures for Perth would have been part of Wednesdays’ ratings, not Thursdays.

  8. WolfieBoy June 20, 2014 at 1:46 pm -

Masterclass on Thursday’s with an elimination shown first up is a potent combination. Even Masterclass itself achieved high figures as it was never the best rating part of Masterchef previously. Happy with that :-)

Ten is not out of the woods financially for a while yet. I can see uncle Rupert buying it soon for an apple and an egg. Sad world.

    What has happened to Seven?

I feel TBBT is sinking albeit slowly. You can’t show and repeat the same program on your main and multi-channels forever and get away with it.

  9. italianguy1987 June 20, 2014 at 1:28 pm -

Isn’t anyone going to comment on how wonderful MasterChef was last night.

The show was well produced and very much ”less” focused on Marco and his pearls of wisdom and more on the cooks themselves and the risotto dish they were cooking.

Great results too in the ratings..#3 for the night and over a million.

See people haven’t forgotten about Channel 10, it’s just the shows they put on are not that good and the changes to their schedule all the time isn’t good.

If Channel 10 could get some amazing shows and keep them in a timeslot until the end of their run people would trust them again and they could build their brand.

  10. Sacs June 20, 2014 at 12:59 pm -

So no-one in Perth (with a ratings box) watched the Socceroos game at the more respectable kick-off time of midnight? Surely a mistake, otherwise how un-Australian of the sandgropers!

  11. BrookeP June 20, 2014 at 11:54 am -

I watched Whose Line Is It Anyway? for the first time last night. Very funny show.
