    Me too…annoying…abbreviations…if you watch the show…maybe it clicks…by the way….WLCTT checked….just a dumb reality show….not missing anything.

  2. Josh: TEN was traditionally the lower rating but more profitable of 3 networks. Currently it is neither. Revenue is tied to annual ratings share and Seven is just ahead of Nine. Profit would depend on their expenses / costs but we know TEN recently announced another loss. Hope this helps.

  3. The loss was 13 Million but now with more staff to go = 150 – more expenses with packages for long serving staff as is only fair to them. I was one in Nov. 2012.

    Very happy Offspring and Masterchef is rating so much better this year. Both are top shows and deserve to do well as does NCIS and Elementary etc

    Nine will get a big bang downwards with their ratings if they show any more US comedy repeats imho. Britain Got Talent is an OK show,better than ours.

    Not sure how Commonwealth Games will rate – we will have to wait and see. 🙂

  4. I should note that it is a pretty decent performance than we have been accustomed to in recent times. Overall it is just average specially the Good Wife.

  5. Hey David. I was reading these ratings and I was very interested as too who would make more money from these ratings. 10 or 9? As in a profit. Because this is a pretty decent ten performance like the night before and they did better in the demo’s than nine who ran repeats. I feel as if at least The Bachelor Australia performs and they get some good action, definitely better than Sochi action in Glasgow they might just survive the year without the needs of a take over. Was there loss only 13 million? After all the staff cuts + ratings surely all those ten haters will have to be quiet. Of course ignoring the other nights of the week 😉

  6. I really enjoyed the masterchef challenge last night. Well done to the yellow team for winning and the blue team for losing because they got so cocky.

  7. well next week is the final episode of the big bang theory for series 7 so guess what there will be even more repeats of the show. Hopefully less people will watch the repeats and 9 get the message.

    A very nice episode of the good wife last night. Its such an underrated show.

  8. Goldbergs is a great TV show. More people should be watching. It is not a dramedy so comparing it to the Wonder Years isn’t exactly right, there are some similarities but I don’t expect the writers would want the two being compared.

    I agree. I can’t always work out what the shows are according to peoples abbreviations. It would be easier if people typed full names.

  10. A very powerful episode for the final of the Bridge last night.
    Wonder how Martin is going to get out of this one?

    I will miss this outstanding show and the wonderful lead characters, especially the “unique” Saga.
    She is truly memorable as well as being unintentionally humourous at times.

    So look forward to Series 3 but it will be be a while between drinks..

  11. @Italianguy1987 sometimes I struggle to know what show people are referring to at first with all these abbreviations. WLCTT (When love comes…), APTCH (A Place to…) etc. Can i suggest NN (Nine News), STR (7:30 Report), 7N (Seven news, so we don’t confuse it with SN – Sunday Night), N (Neighbours) and O (Offspring).

  12. Where would channel 9 be without the TBBT repeats, seems to be keeping them in the ratings which is sad to say they were once the number one channel, wonder how the hedge funds will view this or will they sell? be interesting to see if 9 take another nose dive into the red.

  13. Better ratings for TEN last night. With two great shows in Masterchef Australia and Offspring, TEN deserves even higher ratings. MSA is a much better show than House Rules and Offspring is far better than anything else on at the same time. 9 got what it deserves with more TBBT repeats and the disasterous WLCTT.

    I’m probably not the only one but what show is WLCTT.

    Why can’t people just type the full name of the show instead of just the first letter of each name.

    The Big Bang Theory is not TBBT. I know it shortens the word but really??

    People dont use up all the characters available for a post anyway so I see not reason to shorten a tv show name.

    @Rutzie – The Goldbergs did ok in the important demos so it might be given a reprieve. However, the 25% drop off from the first half-hour to the next is probably indicative of it starting from a lower base next time. Will be interesting to see the minute-by-minutes.

    Didn’t watch the Goldberges, based on my theory that any network trying to attract viewers to a sitcom( not a reality show) they would naturally show some of the best bits in their promos, and thus is there any need I say anymore??

  17. Don’t think we’ll be seeing The Goldbergs in the 8.30pm slot next week. Seven were lucky WLCTT didn’t even crack the top 20. Nine got what they deserved last night with the lazy programming of more repeats of TBBT.
