The cast of The Big Bang Theory are yet to be secured with contracts despite the show’s eighth season set to commence production on July 30th.
Deadline reports the cast and Warner Bros Studios are still far apart with little dialogue.
Back in 2010 during similar salary renegotiations, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar had existing contracts and were obligated to show up for work. This time only Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik have current contracts.
Unless a deal is reached in the next two weeks, production may be delayed although insiders tip a resolution is likely to remain on track for its September 22nd premiere on CBS.
Deadline suggests Galecki, Parsons and Cuoco could command new salaries in the vicinity of $1 million per episode, plus a bigger piece of the show’s backend revenue.

I love the last line in the news.com.au article –
“The Big Bang Theory airs pretty much all the time on Nine.”
lol
Only Sheldon (Jim) deserves the million tbh, perhaps penny ad well
Pretty sure they will sign, must be a slow news day in Hollywood.
The Nine Programming department have run for their underground bunkers as this is their sign of the Apocalypse.
The original 5 should stick together like the Friends cast did. All in at the same salary or nothing.
Love the show.
Agree Chuck128 – well worth the money – look at how much the studio is making world wide!!
If Warner Bros are making a killing from BBT, then give them the money, they put in the hours for it …..
They are talented and funny but that is an obscene amount of money.
And unlike many others in Hollywood, they’re worth every cent of it…
